The show follows the lives of Obi, Eki, Yvonne, and Tokunbo, a group of friends who are only trying to make it big in Lagos. Gidi Up has aired for two seasons so far. Season 1, honestly, was not all that interesting. It took everything in me not to stop watching. The music was not hot, the cast members were kind of boring and I did not understand the plot until the last episode. At the end of the season, I was grateful that it was over.
However, I got bored so I decided to watch Season 2 and let me say: Season 2 was hot like fire! The tin dey sweet me as I dey watch am, chai! The music was hot, alongside our favorite afrobeats songs, there were also many new songs that gave the show it's own flavour and made me go on a downloading spree. They changed some of the cast members. The guy that played Obi in Season 1 (Karibi Fubura) was replaced by OC Ukeje in Season 2, such a great actor, his acting gave Obi a fun personality and made the show a little more interesting. The actress that played Eki in Season 1 (Oreka Godis) was replaced by Titi Sonuga in Season 2, and she acted the part of Eki so well. At times, I honestly felt that Eki was a real character. And the plot line! All I have to say is, I'm happy I watched Season 1, because Season 2 would not have made sense without me watching it. The plot for Season 2 was absolutely creative and entertaining. I was glued to my laptop for hours. It blew my mind away and had me wanting more!

GREAT!!
